Although F.E.A.R. and Civilization IV released at roughly the same time last year, the recommended system requirements for the former are nearly double those of the latter. This is often the case with FPS titles; because developers largely intend these games to be “showcase” pieces of a particular technology or graphics engine, a more powerful gaming computer is usually required to run them in their full graphical glory. The graphic rendering takes enough resources, but when you figure in the requirements for precise real-time physics calculations, these get bumped up even further. As you can see, the types of computer games that you play invariably affect the hardware that you should purchase.

Must you have the Best Graphics?

Genre alone is not the sole deciding factor in determining which gaming PC to purchase, however. Many titles, including such showcase pieces as Half-Life 2 and Doom 3, provide the player with the option of scaling back the graphical effects in order to run the game smoothly on a less-powerful system. While FPS and other games often require a behemoth of a system in order to run with all graphical effects turned on, they will generally run adequately on older rigs. When this happens, their findings are usually released online in short order, and a game that might have taxed your gaming computer beyond its capabilities may suddenly become playable. Again, it’s not always necessary to have the absolute best hardware in order to play the latest games.

How Much do you Plan on Spending?

Naturally, all of this technology comes at a price. As the adage goes, you have to pay in order to play. Everybody aspires to one day own an ultimate gaming computer; the specifications are mind-boggling, and there is no shortage of companies offering monster gaming rigs. However, the cost of owning one of these machines is often prohibitive. Keep in mind that the newest and most powerful video cards tend to hit the market at the $500 price point. Additionally, the most powerful processors can be priced at $1000 or more. When you design a system around these top-level components–a system that can take the latest game releases, chew them up, and spit them out–you can expect the cost of it to soar. It’s not unheard of to see dedicated gaming PCs priced at $4000 or more for the tower only.

Obviously, the first two questions influence the third quite a bit. If you don’t play many graphically-intensive games, or if you are willing to live with slightly degraded in-game graphics, it is simply not necessary to spend that kind of money on a gaming system. There are plenty of computer companies that have in their lineups midrange setups that are perfectly capable of playing the majority of games on the market today–and at a significantly reduced price. Don’t despair if you can’t afford the latest and most powerful computer technology; while economic means may be the most influential of all deciding factors, it won’t necessarily prohibit you from playing the games that you want.

At some point or another in our professional career, we leave a company to move on to another job. But too often, we forget to pack our most important private contract in our moving box, our 401k!

The first thing we need to execute after getting a new job is to be sure they transmit our 401k. It is very essential to be sure that we do a 401k roll over properly from one job to the next. Many prefer to rollover to an IRA.

The best reason to transition from a 401K to an IRA is that with the IRA, the number of investment options we will have is nearly unlimited, while the corporation sponsoring 401K plan will allow only few choices.

If you want to roll over an IRA, I recommend that you begin to choose stocks or mutual funds based on your own research and preference, this can be much rewarding.

IRA’s can be opened at your local bank or an independent or online brokerage firm. I noticed that when you go online, you are charged fewer fees. Also, you’ll be able to compare different offers.

As soon as you choose where you want to have your IRA, the institution will give you an account number and form so the 401K plan administrator can deposit the distribution check.

Unfortunately, the whole procedure can take quite a few weeks or more. When the administrator transfers the money, it will be deposited in a “money market” account. At this step, you’ll be able to start searching stocks or mutual funds that you want to put your money into, I recommend discussing these options with an advisor. Confirming allocation occurs as a “buy order” that you place for your chosen investment option.

After all, your account statements will show the amount of the transfer.

An IRA lets your money to grow tax free until your retirement years which is comparable to a 401K but with so many more investment options. The IRA allows you to take in charge of your investments, you can make your own research and management, and this allows also, greater control over the growth of your money, so you can make big profit from it, which is very good for your retirement.

I have been cleaning windows professionally in the Toronto Canada area for over 35 years. In this article I will discuss common questions asked, do a product review, and give some free tips and do-it-yourself advice for those who have small homes and businesses.

Spring is here and I get asked every day what is secret ingredient that I use to make the windows shine. That answer is very easy, but first let me explain some common misconceptions. Window cleaning is not rocket science but you have to understand some basic concepts. There are several theories as to how to clean windows. Some say use vinegar, some say use ammonia, some say you have to wipe with newspaper to get a shine. Many people think that they can just spray on some Windex and wipe it off with a rag or paper towel. It’s not that easy. First off I don’t recommend Windex. It’s not that the product does not work or that it is no good, simply put most people don’t know how to use it. It has a blue dye in it and a perfume substance and other ingredients that will leave a big mess if you don’t take it take if off properly. There are several more commercial products available that all claim to be especially designed for window cleaning. Believe me I have tried many of these expensive products and they are no better than the one product that 90 percent of windows cleaners use and is a tenth of the price.

What I’m about to tell you that is the greatest secret to having clean windows, which is: (drum roll) dish detergent.

That is all you need. Not only is it inexpensive but you can also use Eco friendly dish detergent which is safe on the hands and the environment. That wasn’t so bad was it. Please read on for more.

What’s important in cleaning windows it’s really not what solution you use, it’s how you use it.

Having a good quality squeegee is the most important tool you will need. There are many different sizes based on the size of windows you will need to clean. However a 12-14 inch squeegee should be

enough to handle most small homes. You can purchase these at most hardware stores. Get the brass one if you can. Once you have your squeegee you have to maintain it. Do not drop it or bend it.

After a few uses you should replace the blade. You can get replacements at any local janitorial supply store. Make sure you use both sides before discarding it for another.

Here are seven great Window Cleaning Tips to follow-

1 Only wash windows when there is no direct sunlight on the them. They will dry too fast and streak.

2 All you need is dish detergent. That’s what most of the pros use. It is cheap and works perfectly under most conditions.

3 Pour a small amount of dish soap (two or three ounces) into a bucket of water.

4 Use a rag or brush to saturate the window with your solution.

5 Use a standard brass squeegee that you would find at your local hardware store to clean the solution off.

6 Work your way from the top down on the window and angle the squeegee so that the water does not run off at the top.

7 Use a lint free towel or dry paper towel to go around edges and any streaks and make sure all the water is off as quickly as possible.

Theses tips should cover most normal window cleaning situations. As to anything other than dirt that is on the widows you may have to resort to other chemicals or tools to get those marks or stains off. In that case it may be the time to consult a pro. If you have very high windows or large windows it may be wise to leave that to the pros as well. I know of one gentleman who said to his wife, I’m going to get the ladder out and clean the windows. Off he went and ended up falling off the ladder. His place of employment would not compensate him for time off because he was injured outside of the workplace. They were in a sad state. So please leave the more difficult situations to the pros.
