Broken heart, hurt and loneliness are three perfect ingredients, which, when mixed together, make our lives dull and miserable. These three things can easily take over our lives and once part of our lives we can see nothing but unhappiness. Very little do we know that we can become happy again and learn to appreciate the feeling of love again through love affirmations. A love affirmation is a simple statement that we continually say to ourselves, which, over time, can help to bring about permanent changes in our lives.
Love affirmations help us to rediscover the love we have lost. An affirmation is a thought that we have during the day which is directly linked to our sub-consciousness. These love affirmations guide our sub-consciousness into a certain direction which can either have positive or negative effective.
To bring about a change in our lives through love affirmation we first need to start thinking positively and wave a good-bye to all our negative thoughts which leads to a unhappy life in the first place. For example instead of ‘nobody loves me’ start thinking ‘everybody loves me’. The key behind reuniting with love is to start loving yourself in the first place and feel confident about you. Adopting a positive love affirmation about yourself such as ‘I was born out of love’ can be very helpful in helping you regain your self esteem after a breakup or a rough fight.
Secondly change your attitude towards others. Respect their feelings and think that everyone deserves love just like you do. Once you adopt this love affirmation, love will find you. You will no longer see life as miserable but will find it to be filled with love.
Wording used in love affirmation is of great significance. Only use words that are simple and can be easily accepted by your mind, only then will power of love affirmations work. Preferably try to use word ‘love’ when making use of a love affirmation. Something along the lines of ‘I am worth loving’ or ‘I will find my true love’ or ‘I am committed to loving …’ are all good examples of love affirmations.
Love affirmation can not only be used to find love for yourself but it is also about discovering God’s love. For example thinking ‘I will love others as extensions of my own Self, and of the love I feel from God.’ will draw you nearer to God and His universal love.
Love affirmation also helps you understand your companion and builds a strong bond between couples. Even to find romance you first need to find your inner-love which can only be achieved through love affirmation.
Love affirmation can also be used to draw ourselves closer towards nature. Learn to love nature and most importantly spend time with nature more often. Try thinking about good things such as ‘I love the smell of fresh flower’ or ‘I feel refreshed’.
To get used to love affirmation, note down any positive thought you have during the day maybe on a piece of card or whichever way is convenient to you. During initial stages of love affirmation technique we might get negative thoughts as well. Note these negative affirmations as well and at the end of each day try replacing them with something more fruitful thought. Review your affirmations twice a day to have a maximum effect of love affirmation. Initially it takes time to step out of a dark miserable world but once you succeed in taking a step nothing can stop you and with the help from repeated love affirmations you will ultimately stop at nothing but love.
Do you have questions on affirmations? Do you wonder what they are and how to use them? Are you stumped when it comes to writing affirmations of your own? If any of the above rings true for you this series on affirmations will be very useful for you.
I have received more than a few inquiries regarding affirmations with particular requests for sample affirmations on a variety of different subject matter. Affirmations are really any thought that you think or say out-loud or to yourself all of the time.
For our intent and purposes we will refer to affirmations as being statements said with intention. You are no longer letting your mind wonder away with whatever gibberish that may have previously been common place. You are taking control of your thoughts; you are giving them your attention for your desires.
Any positive thing you say to yourself is good for your overall well-being and state of mind. However, I do believe that you’ll find your affirmations more useful if you tailor them specifically to you and your situation much like a tailor would fit you for a custom fit jacket.
Use whatever affirmations below that you like and that feel right with you. Then, once you’re comfortable, start to write some of your own that are specific to you and your ideal state.
Emotions Affect Affirmations
Remember that your affirmations are going to be much more affective that much faster if you can invoke your emotions while saying them. Your thoughts are energy and your emotions put those thoughts into motion.
You stir up a much stronger emotional response when you raise your voice and vary your inflection oppose to when you just read something off in a monotone voice.
Your emotions will be stronger still if you give your attention to the words as you say them instead of uttering the words with your mouth while your mind is wondering off on anything other than the task at hand.
Thoughts are energy and the emotions you put behind your thoughts set your life in motion. If you constantly are affirming that money is hard to come by, then don’t be surprised if you receive small raises from your employer, barely meet your social obligations, and have trouble accumulating wealth.
When did Negative Thinking Start
You’ve likely been thinking this way for a long time and if it were working for you I doubt that you’d be here, reading this article. Thinking in a way that doesn’t suite you was most likely thrust upon you as a young child by people who had learned to think and act the way they did from the people that surrounded them as a child.
Now here you sit with so much knowledge literally at your fingertips and you realize that you have the power to change your experience. It may seem too easy but I say… it’s just as easy as it should be.
Mirror Affirmations
If you don’t spend much of any time looking into your own eyes I can’t recommend doing it enough. I’ve done this before I even fully understood the significance or the impact of it. For me it feels like reconnecting to something within myself, like I was starring into something that knew and understood my many anguishes. Which is true, no one understands me and my experiences the way I do.
Looking into my own eyes gives me great comfort and peace and brings me back to the present moment when I have slipped off into worry about the future or sadness about the past. I am comforted and soothed with a calm that words just don’t seem to measure properly.
Another way to look at this is to realize that some of the most powerful and emotionally striking messages we’ve received have been from others who looked us directly in the eye.
You taking the time to look into your own eyes when you say something solidifies the importance and the power of your own message.
But seriously, don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself. Look into your eyes and just say hello, say I love you, or any one of the many affirmations listed below.
If you’re scoffing at this idea remember how many times you’ve stood in front of the mirror getting ready or passed by your reflection and let out a deep and heavy-hearted sigh at some aspect of your body that just measure up to how you’d like it to be.
Recall the countless times you condemned yourself for not being better at something or for not doing more in a day.
The only difference here is that instead of affirming something negative about yourself you are affirming something positive about yourself.
You can change your thinking and thereby your experience by taking control of your thoughts. You must realize that you have a say in what plays in your mind. You do not have to think thoughts that don’t suite you.
As Wayne Dyer says, “Change your thoughts and you will change your life.”
Writing Your Affirmations
When you write out affirmations of your own then do so describing your ideal situations and be specific, be crystal clear on exactly what you would like to experience. Write each one 10 times to really get them imprinted on your mind.
Relationship Affirmations
Below are affirmations concerning relationships. If you are not presently in a relationship the idea here is to be thinking only of the ideal relationship you desire. If you continually think of your relationship disasters then you will go on to have similar experiences as you try to move your life forward.
If you are in a relationship and wish to tailor these affirmations, then you would say something like, “Joan and I are very patient with each other.”
* My partner and I are very patient with each other.
* My partner and I are very understanding of each other.
* My partner and I hug, touch, and kiss each other all the time.
* My partner and I have a wonderful sex life.
* My partner and I are very affectionate with each other.
* My partner and I have great respect for each other.
* My partner and I are very considerate of each other.
* My partner and I genuinely enjoy each others company.
* My partner and I love to cook with each other.
* My partner and I laugh together all the time.
* My partner and I have a wonderful friendship.
* My partner and I have lives outside of our relationship.
* My partner is comfortable within his own skin.
* My partner cares about my feelings.
* My partner is honest even when it’s not easy.
* My partner has great integrity.
* My partner is a great kisser.
* My partner takes excellent care of his physical, mental, and spiritual health.
* My partner has goals and takes action to move himself towards them.
* My partner will try most anything at least once.
* My partner treats others with respect and appreciation.
* My partner appreciates affection.
* My partner is a little goofy and silly at times.
* My partner makes me laugh.
* My partner laughs more than he scowls.
* My partner loves the time he spends with family and friends.
* My partner enjoys a bit of travel.
What’s Next
The positive talk is great in helping you feel better and is instrumental in bringing better experiences into your life. But you’re not likely to find your ideal match sitting on your couch when you return from the bathroom during a commercial break of your favorite sit-com. You must give your words action.
You must go places, you must do things, and you must interact with the world. For example, if you’ve always wanted to learn how to khaki then take a community course with a friend, you never know who will be doing the same.
If you like to read, do so in a public place. Simply go to a coffee shop for a while, have some tea, and read for an hour or so. Join a club and become activity in the things that interest you. You are surrounding yourself with like minded people, and you are further allowing the universe to do its job.
If you want someone to cuddle you on those chili evenings you have to put yourself out into the world.
How to Use These Affirmations
Set aside a few minutes each day, preferably first thing in the morning or right before bed when your subconscious mind seems most open. Invoke your emotions, sit in front of the mirror, look into those beautiful eyes of yours and proclaim your affirmation. Get excited about the new life you are beginning, think about the new possibilities and adventures.
Give yourself praise for being brave and busting out of an old and familiar way that was getting you nowhere.
The more persistent you are with an affirmation the more it becomes the natural nature of your thoughts. You will be surprised and delighted at how differently you feel after only a short time of affirming your best life.
I hope you were able to find some relationship affirmations that work for you. If you have a relationship affirmation you’d like to share, a constructive comment to leave, or a question of your own please contact me at http://www.kimchelltalk.com.

Life is a journey… not a destination point. We want to help you dance along your course as if no one is watching you, sing as if no one can hear you, and enjoy the many pleasures of life. So we wish you many happy trails.
Affirmations really work for a lot of people. I have heard countless stories, firsthand, of people manifesting income, lovers, children, lost items and events that are joyful beyond words. Others however, do a smash up job of sabotaging their affirmations efforts at every turn and end up with nothing they affirmed and usually being farther behind than when they started. Is it the fault of the affirmation? Are the gods out to get this person because of bad karma? Well, maybe but I doubt it. The answer is really much simpler than dirty karma or cheesed off affirmations elves – the answer is in the flow.
You see life has a flow and sometimes you are racing downstream with your goal clear in sight. Your fans are cheering you on from the shore – you can see your goal, you can smell it and sometimes even feel it between your fingertips. Other times you meander down a shallow creek sometimes running up on a dry creek bed or even getting caught in an overhanging tree. In the end the tree branch saves your life and you reach your goal. It’s later than planned – but you get where you want just the same. Both of these events are part of life. Affirmers sometimes interpret these life events incorrectly and get themselves in a big muddle and end up tossing a super result down the ‘life toilet’. Here is a great (and real) example:
Harry is focusing on manifesting a job that is closer to his creative gifting. He is a freelancer and for the last two years he has been doing projects that have been lucrative, but not exactly in line with his creative area. Harry has been aggressively affirming:
“I am now working with my creative talents and being paid handsomely for it”.
So far it seems to make sense. As well as his job affirmation, Harry has been affirming to attract some new friends and live in a warmer climate. One day an old contact calls up Harry and asks him to work with him on a new product for a few months. Harry will be paid well, however, it is not in line with Harry’s creative gifts. Harry is not busy with other projects but decides to not take the work because he wants to stay true to his affirmation:
“I am now working with my creative talents and being paid handsomely for it”.
Harry continues to work his affirmation for the next two months. That old contact runs into Harry in a local coffee shop and mentions he still needs help with is product launch and lets Harry know he can still come on board. Harry, frustrated at his lack of progress with manifesting his job goal, again, says he is not interested. Later that week Harry tosses his affirmation in the garbage and angrily curses that darn blog that claimed ‘affirmations really work’.
Whoops. Harry really blew it. Here is what was going on in the background while Harry was affirming and affirming for his creative talents to be used. Remember the client that called Harry and wanted help with that new product line? He was the bridge that would get Harry moved to a warmer climate within the next year. That new product line caught the eye of a wealthy angel investor that wanted the whole team to relocate to San Diego. That wealthy investor was to become Harry’s best friend. Three years later Harry’s best friend would invest in a creative idea that Harry dreamt about one warm San Diego night – That idea was the perfect match for Harry’s creative talents.
Ouch. Well cheer up, Harry will never know any of this. Harry will continue on and think affirmations don’t work and maybe reach his goal but it will be hard and it will probably take a long, long, long, long, time. Most likely Harry will spend a lot of time being discouraged, angry and unhappy.
Life is not a linear ruler that we can sit on and see from one side to the other. It twists, turns and wanders all about. Think about how you met your spouse, or a really good friend. Was it planned? Did you wake up one morning and say “Today I will meet a great person that I will spend the next 20 years with?” Likely not. Affirmations sometimes work the same way too. We affirm for a certain item to come to pass. We visualize. We meditate and we affirm some more. We are religious in our practice day in day out. Suddenly, one day, an opportunity presents itself for us to get involved in something, or we get invited to an event, or our car breaks down and a co-worker offers us a lift, or a neighbor offers to call us a plumber because our sink is plugged. We turn down the opportunity, we decline the invitation, we take a cab and we get out the plunger and start plunging. After all, these offers don’t line up with our affirmations.
Or do they?
Accepting the flow in life in one of the best gifts you can give yourself and the key to seeing results from your affirmations. Remember flow means ‘flow’. It takes no effort and it seems to appear from nowhere with you doing nothing to bring it to you. The next time you get an unexpected telephone call from someone you have not heard from in ten years, take notice. The next time you are offered something you were not expecting, think about it. And the next time you are affirming – be open to leaving the how’s of your affirmation up to those affirmation elves*. I think they know what they are doing.
*Affirmation elves do not exist, I think.

Can you really expect to change your feelings and behaviors, erase negative thinking and break out into a new era of achievement and happiness by using positive affirmations? Getting ‘unstuck’ is a strange process, having been through it a few times myself, it certainly helps to have the experience of those that have successfully turned around negative thought patterns into strong, positive thoughts.
Certainly, to experience overall personal achievement at a massive level, changing your thought patterns is crucial – one way that works for many people is through positive affirmations.
Using a combination of introspection through meditation with positive affirmations is an extremely powerful combination to beat down negative thinking and improve your positive mental attitude.
For many people though, they have tried affirmations and they noticed no difference – so does it work for everyone?
There are 3 critical factors to manifesting positive thoughts and positive outcomes in your life using affirmations:
1. They must be based on achieving goals and objectives that are congruent with your inner purpose and beliefs. If you develop your affirmations around objectives that deep down you don’t believe in, you will hijack achievement at some point.
2. You must be consistent about using affirmations. Don’t expect to try affirmations out for a few days and see major changes occur in your life. Positive affirmations impact your life cumulatively -the positive results will expand over time.
3. My experience has been that you need to focus on a short list of affirmations for a period of time rather than dozens. I like to focus on 5-10 affirmations for 1-month, depending on the term of my goal, then replace that affirmation with another the next month. For some goals you may want to stick with them for a year or more.
Keeping these core principles in mind, here are some other tips on crafting effective affirmations.
1) Write the affirmation out in the present perspective. The objective is to create the thought and associated feelings that your affirmation is, in fact, true right now (not in the future or in the past)
For example, “I am so happy that I feel totally self-confident when I get up and speak in front of my public speaking class”
2) Write your affirmation so that it “feels” emotionally desirable to you. The more “REAL” you can make affirmation and the more they make you comfortable, happy or seem like fun, the better results you will get.
3) Your affirmations should be about having something you desire rather than avoiding something you don’t want.
For example, I don’t want to feel tired should be re-worded to read “I am filled with the electric vibrations of inner energy and can tap into an endless supply of boundless energy”
4. Be certain with your affirmations, instead of saying “I believe I will…” or “I feel I am energetic…” say “I am energetic” or “I have ready access to an endless supply of energy”
5. Be specific and describe your feelings…for instance “I am cashing my first $10,000 check, enjoying the warm feeling it gives me as I immediately contribute $1,000 to XYZ charity” What is critical here is that you really picture yourself receiving the $10,000 check, how do you feel when you get it? Who do you tell and what is their response? What does it feel like to decide which charity you will give your $1,000 to? How do your family and neighbors react when you tell them about the check? What about when you see the $10,000 in your bank account, how happy do you feel?
I have recently started to write a set of descriptors about the imagery and feelings that go along with each affirmation so that I can use these when I review the affirmations daily.
Here are some simple, effective affirmations (remember, don’t use these unless they are in line with your main purpose and you really want the outcome as a top priority in your life right now)
“I am having so much fun enjoying a 30-day vacation at the ocean watching my kids completely innocent and in-tune with nature”
“Right now, I am enjoying a fascinating and stimulating conversation with my wife about her next move in life”
“I am enjoying the 1-hour I get to spend with my kids today because my business allows me to be at home and financially secure to spend this fun and exciting time with my boys.”
“I am fascinated with my girlfriend on our dinner date, we are having such an incredible time with each other laughing and sharing intimate thoughts”
“I am completely confident asking my boss for a $20,000 raise knowing that I will add far more than that to the top line of my company”
“I am gratefully out for a stimulating, energy producing walk in the woods”
“I am totally self-assured, self-confident and at ease in any social situation”
The great part about affirmations is the complete transition from the most negative thought patterns to an increasing pattern of positive thoughts eventually turning into a habit of positive thinking that becomes just as automatic as your current negative thinking.
Use these techniques to develop your own list of positive affirmations, use visualization to picture yourself having achieved the goals, repeat your affirmations at least twice each day for the next 30-days and you will begin to notice an overall change in your consciousness. Suddenly the law of attraction will kick in and you will mysteriously see more abundance enter into your life. The sooner you get started, the sooner you can experience this fundamental improvement in your life.

I’ve been a spiritual seeker for many years now and I’ve always been interested in reading books about spirituality, self-improvement, healing and learning as much as I could for quite some time. I feel like I’ve been blessed by aligning myself with some of the best spiritual teachers through workshops and individual counseling sessions. I’ve had to overcome a lot of obstacles in my life, due to family issues, and I needed a lot of guidance.
One of my mentors was a counselor in Houston, Texas. I spent almost ten years working with this woman who whole-heartedly believed in the power of affirmations. It was sort of like going to confession in the Catholic Church. We would have our session where we would talk about issues, and then I would be assigned my so called homework. Instead of ten “Hail Mary’s” and five “Our Father’s”, it would be to write this affirmation 25 times: “I begin to bless everything that comes into my life as good, good, good.” Then I would write this affirmation in first person with “I”, second person: “You begin”, and third person: “Laureen, begins to.” The reasoning is that yes, I need to affirm myself. When writing in second person, it’s as if someone that I trust is talking right to me. In third person, it’s as if it were written, and already true.
Over the course of 10 years, I have written thousands of affirmations. I’ve written affirmations of healing from past childhood traumas, healing of relationships, healing from a divorce and healing from career changes. I was basically reprogramming my conscious and subconscious negative thoughts into positive “affirming” thoughts. Instead of believing in a “negative belief” that no longer works for me, I worked on accepting and affirming the “positive” experiences from the situation.
In the beginning, I would complain that my hands would get tired from all the writing, but the repetition imprints the affirmation into the subconscious mind. Also, the more times you write an affirmation, the more emotionally involved you get. How can you write “I am healthy in mind, body and spirit” dozens of times, without believing it? Writing, helps you believe it, feel it, and reprogram your mind.
I’ve written affirmations down in journals and post-it-notes around the house. I’ve typed in affirmations on my computer and printed some of them in large type and pasted it to my wall, such as: “The more money I spend, the more money I receive from the Universe”. I tend to like this one a lot! I’ve even taped myself speaking affirmations, so I can listen at home, while I’m doing yoga. I find there isn’t such a thing as too much. We spend so much of our lives in negative surroundings, whether that be at work, or at home, with our family, friends or even watching TV.
When I was in music school, I was a vocal performance major. I use to hear all the time from various students (some instrumentalists), “I can’t sing.” Well, who told them they couldn’t sing, and why did they believe it? I’ve found through years of singing, performing and teaching, that very few people are actually tone deaf. So, why do so many people believe they can’t sing? It’s because someone told them to be quiet in church when they were singing, and from then on, they adopted a negative belief system about singing. Just because they may not have had a pretty voice, or a professional voice, is not the same thing as they “can’t sing”. I found myself coaching a few of these people for my sight-singing class, and lo and behold, they could it.
Not all of us can afford coaches, or counselors, or professionals to help us. But, one thing we can do is help ourselves by working with affirmations. The one great thing about affirmations, is that there is so much information out on the Internet about affirmations. What I like to do is to search through a lot of written affirmations in healing, prosperity, health, career, relationship issues, and find the ones that I like. Then I re-word the affirmation into something that feels right to me. I always make sure that the affirmation is written in the “present” tense and that it is positive and specific.
Some affirmations have a bit of a “charge” let’s say. What I mean by a “charge” is that you are stating something positive, but you’re feeling some negative emotions as you write. All this means, is that somehow, you’re not quite sure you actually believe this, and there is some healing to do in this area. As you keep writing the affirmation, there can be a whole series of emotions flowing, if you allow yourself to go through the process. The experts say that the subconscious mind doesn’t know what is real, or not real. So, why not give ourselves the best positive belief system, to replace the negative beliefs we’ve adopted through the course of life? Changing our beliefs, is like giving ourselves a new life, a new outlook and a new future that’s based on positive beliefs.
When I was going through a difficult time in my life, I use to write “I now release all fears and resentments”, over and over again. It was difficult, because I was in fear, and I had a lot of resentments. I was tired of being depressed. I was tired of being fearful. What I had to do, was reprogram myself into releasing these negative feelings, so that I could live a joyful life. Even though, I didn’t initially believe that I could actually “let go” of those negative emotions, the more times I wrote the affirmation, the more relaxed I became.
I love affirmations so much, that I buy CD’s and audio downloads of so many wonderful teachers and healers, and I usually play them when I meditate or go to sleep. I find that continued use of affirmations changes my outlook, my productivity, and my joy and happiness. I even subscribe to a number of e-mail subscriptions from Unity’s Daily Word and Joel Osteen. I find that immersing myself in positive affirmations has helped me to grow significantly and has healed many wounds. I am now a much more joyful and positive person than I’ve ever been in my whole life.
My new affirmation of the day is “I choose positive words and experience positive results.” Have a great day!

There are very few people who use positive affirmations on a daily basis to reach their goals. Positive affirmations are used by some of the most elite, powerful people in the world to obtain goals in several different areas of their life. There seems to be confusion on why to use affirmations and if affirmations really work. In this article, I’m going to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about affirmations.
Aren’t affirmations just words on paper?
Affirmations are not just words on paper. They are powerful words that can be used to help create a positive belief in your mind that you can have any of the desires and successes in your life that you want. Affirmations spoken daily with action can help you achieve any goal.
How do affirmations really work?
The way affirmations work is by giving your mind, the belief system that you truly can accomplish your goal. Speaking affirmations daily helps to build a positive mindset, which is needed to accomplish any goal. There is a saying, “You have to believe it to achieve.” If your mind is not prepared and you can’t see yourself accomplishing something then you won’t be able to accomplish. But if you can change your mindset to positive affirmations, and you can see it in your mind, you start to believe that you can accomplish the task at hand. Then you will succeed.
How many different affirmations, should I make?
I would make affirmations for as many areas in your life that you want to change. There are several areas you can create affirmations for such as, spiritual, emotional, business, family, and health and fitness to name a few. Once you have determined what areas you want to change simply take out a piece of paper and pen and brainstorm for 10 to 15 minutes. Let your mind when free with all the positive statements that you can think of for that particular topic. Once you have determined the most positive affirmations, write them down until you have a full list for each area you would like to see change.
How many times a day should I say my affirmations?
It is best if you can spend at least 10 concentrated minutes speaking your affirmations in a quiet environment daily. Anytime that you are feeling low or negative would also be another good time to speak your affirmations, even if it’s to yourself in your own mind. Sometimes you will find that after speaking your affirmations you are very positive and feel that you can conquer the world. When starting out, I would speak, positive affirmations at least 10 minutes a day. If you don’t feel that this is enough, keep your affirmations with you and speak them any time that you start to feel negative. This should help to keep you in a positive mindset to accomplish your goals.
What time of the day, should I speak my affirmations?
The best time of day to speak, positive affirmations are upon rising in the morning. If you spend 10 concentrated minutes speaking your affirmations will help to start your day in a positive manner and to conquer the task at hand throughout the day. Another great time to speak your affirmations is just before going to bed. This will help keep your mind in the positive mindset before going to bed and can help you sleep better throughout the night. You can also speak your positive affirmations throughout the day whenever you feel negative, or that you cannot accomplish your task.
Now that we have answered some of the most frequently asked questions about affirmations, it’s time to start building your own affirmations so you can conquer any task at hand. It is a simple, yet powerful technique that has been used by very powerful people to achieve their success. So if you are some one that is feeling negative and that you can’t seem to ever accomplish your goals, give positive affirmations a chance and I know your lives will change for the positive.
Affirmations can be an effective and powerful tool for bring more abundance into our lives. If used properly, they help us make changes from the inside out, so we will be aware of and attract more of what we want into our experience. If you decide to give affirmations a try, there are some techniques that will lead to success, and also some pitfalls to avoid.
Affirmations are statements of intent. They describe a reality we want to create for ourselves, for example, “I easily manifest a six-figure income.” Usually, affirmations are sentences or statements that we can repeat over and over again. By repetition, we impress that belief into our subconscious mind, and we start to believe and then create, our affirmation as the truth.
You may have tried affirmations in the past, and felt that they didn’t work. Just rote memorizing and stating short positive statements over and over again is not particularly effective. Here are some techniques to implement to actually have effective wealth affirmations.
Affirmations need to have feeling and focused intention behind them. Ultimately you are transforming your beliefs. When you are stating your affirmation, you may want to have a visual image in your mind that goes with it. Symbols are very powerful. If you have a symbol of what you want to create, and you flash that in your mind when you say your affirmation, you are lending more power to it. For example, you could visualize a paycheck with the desired income on it.
Affirmations have much more power if they are also linked to the feeling you get when you have what you want. Our feelings are the foundation for our beliefs. When you prepare your affirmation, you should spend a few moments imagining what the result will feel like; will you feel joy, elation, satisfaction? When you say your affirmation, call forth that feeling, and stay focused on it, without letting your mind wander off into doubt.
The other major key for effective affirmations is to put some thought into crafting and writing your affirmation. Your affirmation should come from you. There are many affirmation lists available in books and online, but you should try to work with only those that resonate with you, and possibly modify them into what you want. Affirmations should be positive statements only, written in the present tense. Your affirmations should state that you already have what you want.
However, if an affirmation is completely different from what you are currently experiencing, your subconscious mind will protest and will not be open to the affirmation. For example, if you say, “I am a millionaire,” and you are actually poor and in debt, and have never had a large sum of money, your subconscious mind will not believe that, and the affirmation will not be effective.
You should tailor the affirmation to be a powerful, but more general statement like,” I am open to new wealth opportunities,” or “I attract more money into my life.” Your affirmation should walk the line between being specific about what you want, but making the affirmation general enough so it seems possible to achieve.
By incorporating some of these techniques, you should be able to create powerful and useful affirmations easily. Give yourself plenty of time, as some beliefs may change quickly, and some may take longer. Wealth affirmations can be a wonderful tool for attracting more into your life.

The dictionary description is:
af-fir-ma-tion [af-er-mey-shun]
1. The act or an instance of affirming; state of being affirmed.
2. the assertion that something exists or is true.
3. something that is affirmed; a statement or proposition that is declared to be true.
4. confirmation or ratification of the truth or validity of a prior judgment, decision, etc.
Thoughts repeated regularly and systematically sink into the subconscious mind and become habitual. Affirmations as these are called are used by many children and adults to create lasting changes in their lives. Finding the right affirmations to use is much more effective if it is in your own words and way of thinking. It is important that your affirmations are written in your own words since the subconscious will react better to your own thoughts than to the thoughts of someone else. It is easy to understand that you probably would not trust anyone more than you trust yourself. Start by taking notice of what you want to change in yourself. Write down on paper your thoughts, desires, and feelings that you may wish to improve upon.
How to use affirmations
When wording your affirmation, you need to use words and phrases for your affirmations in a positive manner rather than a negative manner. As an example, if you wanted to quit smoking, you would not want an affirmation such as “Cigarette smoking makes me sick” because you will in turn cause yourself to get sick. It is better to phrase affirmations like “I am a non-smoker” or “I am healthy and dislike the smell and taste of cigarette smoke” thereby instructing your subconscious to see a different you. When your subconscious sees yourself different, you will become different. Whatever the subconscious mind believes, the conscious mind becomes.
It is important to choose your words wisely. You do not want to use phrases like “I want” because no change will take place since your subconscious is already there. In other words, affirmations worded with “I want” simply are a statement of what “you want”, this only affirms that you will always want whichever it is your affirmations are presenting. You must see yourself as a different you by visualizing what it is you would like to accomplish. Use words like “I am” or “I have”, this allows your subconscious to visualize and believe you are already what you wish to become instead of what you want to become.
Positive affirmations can enhance any area of your life, from improving health, skills, success, relationships and more to conquering bad habits like unhealthy eating habits, aggressive tempers and attitudes, biting nails, bed wetting, drug addictions, or lack of attention and motivation. There are many resources available to help those who find creating affirmations to be difficult. Affirmations can be found on the Internet or in books. Remember to try and use any outside suggestions only as an example and maybe rephrase it in your own words. Thoughts and phrases should come from words within your terms of speaking. If you wish to improve your health, you can find hundreds of examples on the Internet that reflect healthy aspects. Though if for instance you were to find some health affirmations worded in a manner that you would not typically speak, you need to re-write that affirmation into your own words so that you comprehend what your affirmation means. Your subconscious will work faster with affirmations spoken in your terms of speaking faster than that of someone else’s if you do not fully understand it. An example of this could be the legal terminology that most attorneys use, most of us can read it and somewhat understand it, but the lawyers are the ones that can pick it apart and know exactly what it is exclaiming to in ways we probably never imagined. If your mind does not fully comprehend the meaning of the affirmations you are feeding it, your process will not take effect as fast.
How long before you see results
It can take approximately 20 days to create a lasting change but can start taking affect on your behavior a lot sooner where you can notice yourself actually beginning to change in the way you have expressed through your affirmations. It does matter how you use the affirmations too, if you only use your affirmations during the day instead at night like suggested, it may take longer to take affect. Using a recorder or an affirmation unit such as the Mindmaster at night can allow you to create the change subconsciously without the common distractions one normally endures during the day with normal everyday life. Whether it is distractions with traffic, kids, work, cellphones, animals, you name it, they take away from the effectiveness of repeating your affirmations. You could also possibly take time out of your day to go somewhere that is maybe free of these distractions, but that is sometimes a luxury that many of us don’t have. It also takes away from getting other things done too. However, when you are sleeping you have no distractions and the subconscious mind receives everything you tell it. Since your subconscious never sleeps, it is even more receptive to receiving and retaining messages because any doubt and disbelief, which are conscious barriers, are dissolved while you are sleeping, allowing your subconscious image to be changed more effectively.
Affirmations and children
Affirmations though not as widely used as they are for adults can be used with children to help them overcome obstacles that they face with growing up. Fears of the dark, fears of the potty, eating habits, aggressive behaviors, controlling emotions, improving skills and confidence. There are many uses just like with adults that can help your child as well. They should be able to utilize all available tolls that they can when growing up, this shapes them into who they will become later in life. Using affirmations with a child can be a bit different from the way we may use them as adults. Adults have the ability to remember they need to repeat their affirmations where kids usually lack the ability to remember the simplest things they were just told to do. This is where targeting the subconscious mind works best. Much like how adults use recorders, there is a product on the market that is designed for children to repeat their affirmation back to them at night while they sleep on a timed program so it is not in a continuous loop. It has been proven to work successfully with speaking toddlers guided by their parents directive. If you are having problems with potty training for instance, children have stopped wetting the bed in as little as a week, for good and all on their own. This not only helps give the child a sense of accomplishment but also self confidence and belief that they can achieve their goals.
