Affirmations can be used to improve practically any area of your life. It does not matter if the situation is a simple one or if it is absolutely critical, affirmations can be of great use. However many people who have used affirmations do not get the full benefit from them and even go as far as to claim they do not work. This is simply because they have not learned how powerful affirmations really are, how to use them to their fullest and why creating your own affirmations is so important.

What are affirmations used for?

Affirmations can be used in many areas of your life, for instance if you are going to an interview and you are feeling nervous you can use an affirmation like “I can do this, I will be a hit, I am a winner or I will succeed” to help you calm down and boost your moral and confidence. Affirmations can also be used to change your beliefs about something. Lets say you have the belief that there are no good men around anymore, you could use an affirmation like “I am open to the idea that there is a good man out there for me.” This will help you to change your belief about men. There are countless ways for you to use affirmations in your life.

Why write your own affirmations?

There are literally thousands of websites online offering you lists of affirmations that are supposed to change your life and although the affirmations are often powerful in of themselves, they often do not help the user for one simple reason. They are not specific to the users situation and beliefs. Here’s an example, suppose you are not happy about your body any you want to change the way you think about your body. So you choose an affirmation from a pre-written list that says, “I am beautiful and I love my body.”

Although this may be a good affirmation it is likely to be useless for anyone who is truly unhappy with his or her body. This is because if you have a negative belief and you try to change it by stating the direct opposite the first thing your mind will do is resist the positive statement as it is simply to big a jump from one end of the spectrum to the other. This is why it is so important to learn how to write affirmations that are specific and fully directed towards your needs.

Instead of trying to convince your mind of a fact that is directly opposite to what you believe, instead you would write an affirmation that is hopeful, positive and opens your mind to accepting a new belief. The affirmation could be something like, “I am making healthy choices to improve my body” or “little by little I am changing the way I look” or “I am open to the idea of reaching my perfect weight.”

When you soften your affirmations you receive less resistance and therefore stand a much greater chance of actually changing your beliefs and improving the negative self-talk. Then as your self-image improves you can make your affirmations even more powerful. The most important thing to remember when using affirmations is to focus on how the affirmation you are using makes you feel. If when you state the affirmation you feel tension or resistance to the words then the affirmation is too far away from your present belief and needs to be softened. Also when you do this you should include hopeful words and statements like “I intent to, I am moving towards, I am reaching for, and I am open to.”

Following these simple tips will help you to write powerful focused affirmations that will change your life and you will also be more in-tune with your feelings which will in turn help you to recognize when an affirmation is right for you and when it is not.

There is little doubt that using affirmations can help you develop a mindset that can help you achieve limitless wealth, success and self fulfillment. Most people when they use affirmations simply use positive affirmations and while they are effective, there are a number of things that you can do to make your use of affirmation far more effective.

1. Record your own affirmations. Commercial recordings work very well but, affirmations recorded in your own voice are more effective. While commercial recordings use a generic voice, it has been scientifically proven that your subconscious mind is far more sensitive to the sound of your own voice. When your subconscious mind hears your voice, it is far more likely to accept the affirmation and embed it permanently in your memory than the generic voice on a commercial recording.

2. Write your own affirmations. Commercial audios, by nature, design their affirmations for the widest possible audience. While this may help, if you write your own affirmations, they will specifically address the areas that you need to work on. In addition, your subconscious mind is also more sensitive to your style of writing and speaking and will therefore accept the affirmation much more readily.

3. Record your affirmations with a musical background. Famed super learning researcher Georgi Lorzanov discovered that the mind will achieve a super learning state when you play certain types of music while listening to your affirmations. Play Mozart, Bach or possibly an entrainment audio and the mind will settle into the Alpha State and be much more receptive to new knowledge or affirmations. The scientific name for this is the “Mozart Effect.” This is also the reason that they recommend that you play classical music while your child is very young. Children who listen to classical music up to the age of five, typically develop a much higher IQ.

4. Use the Lorzanov pattern to listen to your affirmations. Lorzanov also discovered that a specific repetitive pattern was more effective in creating a super learning state. Repeat your affirmations 3 times with a 6 second interval and the effect of the affirmations will be much stronger.

5. Don’t just use positive affirmations. While positive affirmations are very effective, they are only part of the story. The human mind is a steel trap. Once you have learned something, you will never forget it. If you learned a self limiting belief when you were young, you will remember it for life. For this reason, you should use clearing affirmations. What you are trying to do is correct the old false belief with a corrected version of that belief. For example, you may have heard as a child that rich people are greedy. To try to correct this false belief, you might try a corrective affirmation like this: people say that rich people are greedy but, the truth is that the truly wealthy are the most charitable people in the world. This way the old self limiting thought pattern has been replaced with a corrected version which will not limit your financial growth.

Affirmations are incredibly effective in creating a wealth mindset and these few little steps will make them much more effective. Affirmations are far more than just positive thinking.

Affirmations are probably the easiest and most effective method – compared to the effort involved – known to influence the conscious mind. Many of the world’s most intelligent experts and philosophers have used, and are using this technique, which has been handed down over thousands of years, in various guises such as mantras and prayers. The difference today, because of the now more wide spread knowledge of this technique, is that people from all walks of life are using them to meet people, win tournaments, heal disease and close business deals.

Affirmations are quite simple by their very nature, as all they really are is simple statements repeated regularly to yourself, whether silently or aloud, and practical to you at the time. You can do them anywhere, you decide upon a statement that represents what you want to have happen to you, and then you simply repeat it to yourself over and over again.

As an example, let’s say you find yourself in a familiar situation which normally upsets you and leaves you worn out and stressed, when actually you would prefer to be relaxed and unworried by it, this would be the exact time when using a positive affirmation would be beneficial to you, and in this situation a good example of an affirmation you would repeat to yourself to help change the situation could be ” I feel calm and relaxed, I feel calm and relaxed, I feel calm and relaxed”. Now at this point it is important that you don’t try to force yourself to feel calm and relaxed, just make sure that you keep repeating the affirmation to yourself for approx 5 minutes. Another quick example of a positive use of affirmations would be prior to attending an important business meeting that you would like to go well; this time you would begin affirming to yourself a few minutes beforehand with something like this “It’s going to be a great meeting, It’s going to be a great meeting.”

So Exactly What are You Doing When You do Affirmations?

When you use affirmations you are influencing, directly, the very thoughts that are occurring at any one specific time in your mind. As your mind can only hold one thought at a time, an affirmation works by cramming your mind and filling it with thoughts that support your goal. It’s quite clever really; in a simple way the words are suggesting to your mind what it should be thinking, so if you are affirming ” It’s going to be a great meeting ” then your mind naturally begins thinking related thoughts about it being a great meeting. It really is quite simple really, but the technique can be remarkably effective in helping you achieve the results you are looking for.

How do You Know if You are Doing it Right?

Well it’s all in the words you choose, they must be POSITIVE not negative, and, as gratitude forms part of the whole attraction process, you should include words that also convey this. For example, I use the following terminology to start all of my affirmations, taught by a great mentor of mine, Bob Proctor (from The Secret, Movie) no matter what I am affirming ” I am so Happy and Grateful now”. These words you will notice also use another important aspect of affirmations, they must always be in the present tense, as if you already have whatever it is happen. So if for example you have a money affirmation to bring more financial abundance into your life you could say ” I am so Happy and Grateful Now That Money is Attracted to me and I am attracted to money” or, for more opportunities to appear to you, you could say ” I am so Happy and Grateful Now That New Opportunities are Presented to me From Multiple Sources on a Continuous Basis”

You actually don’t even need to believe what you are affirming! This mistake can have a counter effect and nullify the effects. I know of many people who have used affirmations unsuccessfully mainly because they were trying to force themselves to believe. By the way, don’t get me wrong, if you DO believe what you are affirming, this will only serve to enhance, but if you don’t, then that’s OK too. You don’t have to force anything; by the process of repetition your mind will pick up the content of your affirmations and will therefore allow the correct thoughts into your consciousness.

You must also keep your affirmations reasonably short and to the point, easy to say and easy to repeat over and over again. I try to keep my affirmations to a maximum of 25 words, sometimes a lot less. Even 2 or 3 words can sometimes be an effective affirmation, short statements like ” I have tremendous success always” or ” I achieve record sales ” I have seen affirmations that were a full page long. There’s absolutely no chance that you can repeat an affirmation of that length in an effective manner, and I have found with people who have affirmations which are too long, soon tire of the repetition and the affirmation soon fizzles out. So the lesson here is, make it short and make it easy to say and repeat.

Also be very careful that you do not use your affirmations in a careless way that means they may work against you, for example statements like ” I’ll never get it done” I’ll never do it” I always lose” are all affirmations that you can easily find yourself repeating to yourself without even realizing it, so watch out for these.

So remember that anybody can create affirmations and use them effectively throughout the day to help accomplish the things that they want. They can be said anywhere, in the doctor’s waiting room, in a traffic jam, they don’t need to be believed, all you have to do is repeat them. I repeat my affirmations 5 times per day, however this is my personal preference which works well for me, but if I was to recommend a minimum I would say 3 times per day, first thing when you get out of bed in the morning – this sets the tone for the rest of the day – secondly, at lunch time – this helps to re-motivate you when typically you might be flagging – and thirdly just before you go to sleep – this is when your subconscious mind is in its most receptive state. Two or three minutes is all you need, start doing this now and commit to repeating every day and you will be amazed at how quickly you will begin to produce a noticeable affect.

Affirmations are one of the most popular personal development tools, but they can also be one of the least effective, simply because most people aren’t shown the correct way to use them. One of the most common misconceptions about affirmations is that they act as “magical incantations” that will transform your life circumstances. Want to earn more money? Recite an affirmation that you are a millionaire, and *poof!* you are wealthy.

The True Purpose of an Affirmation

Believe it or not, the words in an affirmation have no power to change anything in your life. Like I said, affirmations are not magical incantations, and you may be surprised to learn that the purpose of an affirmation is NOT to change anything outside of yourself.

Yes, your ultimate goal is to create better circumstances in one or more areas of your life, but that’s not the first thing that needs to happen. Instead, the true purpose of an affirmation is to change the way you FEEL about a given topic. When you feel differently about something, you will start to think and believe differently about it. And when you think, feel and believe differently, you will take different actions – and therefore you will change the results you receive.

Many people don’t grasp the importance of this concept, so they create affirmations that focus more on their outer conditions rather than how they feel. As a result, they don’t change their beliefs, their actions don’t change, and their circumstances don’t change either. With this in mind, think back to those example affirmations I just shared. Do those make you feel differently about money, health or relationships? More likely, you don’t feel much of anything at all when you read them. That’s because they don’t get to the heart of what you really want, which is to FEEL differently about that aspect of your life.

Take a moment right now and jot down a few key words about how you would like to feel regarding the main areas of your life:

Health and well-being

Spirituality

Relationships

Money

Career

Overall quality of life

Do you yearn for a greater sense of peace, happiness, security, freedom, fun, passion, ease, or meaning? If you could create anything you wanted in these areas, what would you create? What is important to you? Which negative habits and qualities would you like to release?

Creating Effective Affirmations

Now that you have a better idea of your goals in the key areas of your life, it’s time to explore just what makes an affirmation effective. Read the following affirmation and consider how it makes you feel:

I achieve my goals easily and quickly.

If you are like most people, you probably feel some resistance to that statement. Most of us do not achieve goals easily or quickly – more often it’s a long, strenuous journey to success. Even if you didn’t experience a feeling of resistance to the affirmation, you may have felt detached or impassive when you read it, like it just doesn’t have any meaning for you.

Based on the concepts we’ve covered so far, would you say that this is an effective affirmation? Perhaps if a person had experience in achieving goals quickly and easily, they might be open to an affirmation like that; but for the majority of “average” people the answer would be no. How about this alternative wording:

I am capable of achieving my goals easily and quickly.

That one feels a little better, doesn’t it? You aren’t saying that you always achieve your goals easily and quickly, but you are affirming you are at least capable of doing so. This affirmation may feel a little better, but it can still be improved.

I am eager to achieve my goals easily and quickly.

That one feels better; a little more upbeat and inspiring, right? Maybe it even triggers a little glimmer of hope that it’s possible to achieve your goals quickly and easily? How about this one:

I am ready to achieve my goals easily and quickly.

Notice one important thing about these examples – all I am doing is inserting emotionally-charged words into the original affirmation! Capable, eager, ready… these words simply trigger your emotions so that the statement makes you feel better about your goals.

Do you think that feeling better about your goals will bump up your level of motivation and determination? Do you think that being eager and ready to move forward might inspire more focused action and persistent effort over time? Absolutely!

Remember, the true power of an affirmation is that it makes you feel differently, form better beliefs, and take more productive actions. Now you can see how this works in our examples.

Next we’ll go over the exact steps you should take when writing your own powerful affirmations:

Step One: Identify the Goal

First, you need to be very clear about what you want. Not the outer goal; but the inner goal of how you want to FEEL. Focus on the essence of the feeling you are aiming for. For example, you want to feel confident, strong, empowered, happy, uplifted, free, inspired, loved, proud, secure, and so on.

If you were creating an affirmation to help you lose weight, your goal would probably be to feel proud of your body, light, happy, confident, or craving-free. Ideally you will want to focus on just ONE essence per affirmation rather than trying to cram a bunch of different goals into one.

Let’s say that your main goal is to overcome feelings of self-loathing and start loving your body. The essence you are going for is self-acceptance. You could call it different names but it really comes down to being able to accept your body rather than hating it.

Step Two: Lay the Foundation

Now create the basic affirmation, which is simply the new “truth” you wish to experience. Using the weight loss example above, your new affirmation might be:

I completely love and accept my body.

But remember, if you don’t feel so good about your body, that statement is going to trigger a strong feeling of resistance, disbelief, and maybe even anger. You just won’t believe it’s true because it ISN’T true (yet). That’s okay – we’re just laying the foundation before we move on to the next step.

Step Three: Soften Rough Edges

Right now your affirmation doesn’t feel good to you – it just brings up some unpleasant thoughts and feelings and does nothing to shift your beliefs about your body. However, there are many ways we can “soften” it a bit and make it feel better. For example, adding the word “choose”.

I choose to love and accept my body.

Adding that little word helped, didn’t it? But some people still might struggle with the affirmation even in its altered form. How about adding “okay”:

It’s okay to love and accept my body.

Ah, that one is better! You aren’t saying that you DO love and accept your body; just that it’s okay to do so. Even though we’re taking a roundabout route to the main goal, you can still feel a stronger sense of acceptance about your body, right?

If you were to recite this affirmation regularly for a few days, do you think you would start to feel more accepting of your body? Probably so!

Another way to soften the rough edges is to add an element of “will”:

I am willing to love and accept my body.

If that one still feels a bit too unbelievable, you could add “learn”:

I am willing to learn how to love and accept my body. (or)

I am learning how to love and accept my body.

Softening the edges just means choosing words that are a bit more relaxed so that you have an easier time believing in the concept. Most often this is a temporary measure because after saying the softer version for a few days to a few weeks, you will be able to step up to the stronger version.

For example, starting with, “It’s okay to love and accept my body” can easily lead to “I choose to love and accept my body,” and then straight to “I completely love and accept my body.” This is an effective way to gradually improve your beliefs and feelings on any subject.

Conclusion: Use Affirmations with Care

I often refer to affirmations as “power tools” because they can transform your life like few other development techniques can. But like all power tools, they must be used correctly to get the intended result. Use them incorrectly and you could end up with results you didn’t intend or want – or worse, results that displease you more than your original circumstances did.

One of the greatest things about affirmations is that they can easily be altered and personalized to fit your own goals. If the examples I used in this guide don’t resonate with you, keep tweaking them until they do.

Remember that the true power of an affirmation lies in how it makes you feel. If you can feel yourself leaning in a positive direction when you say an affirmation, even if it’s a subtle shift, you are on the right track!

Even better, your mastery of using affirmations effectively will continue to grow the more you work with them. You’ll be able to “feel” when an affirmation is right for you, and being sure your affirmations are tightly focused like this will allow you to exert less effort but still achieve great results.

In fact, your affirmations will continue to grow and evolve with you. The more work you do on your personal and professional growth, and the more control you gain over your self-talk, the less you will need to do the “stepping-up” technique we described at the beginning of this guide. You simply won’t feel the need to “soften” your affirmations to make them more believable. Instead, you will easily remain open to big goals and believe they are possible for you.

As your initial affirmations start to come true, be sure to keep expanding them to be bigger and better! Don’t settle for just “good” results – keep going after GREAT results in every area of your life. Make long lists of everything you wish to accomplish, and then steadily and surely change the way you think about those areas of your life.

As you change your thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and actions for the better – the circumstances of your life must also change for the better. Once you understand the reliability of this approach, you should find yourself feeling very motivated and inspired because that means virtually ANYTHING is possible for you.

Every goal is achieved the same way; step by step.

It appears that everywhere you turn these days you cannot help but run into someone espousing the benefits of affirmations. Many of these people are very well intentioned, and some are simply riding what they believe to be a popular wave of excitement. The truth is affirmations do work, when you work them.

Affirmations are not a new idea. The history of the word can be traced back to the mid 1500s. Still today’s culture provides a fertile playground for their use and abuse. Affirmations are touted as the end all and be all of human aliments, discomforts and desires. The truth is much more subtle. Reciting an affirmation once or twice or posting in on your bathroom mirror simply does not cut it. Affirmations must become a part of your feelings and emotions. We must also determine just what feelings and emotions are. Feelings are the physical aspects of an event and your emotions are the mental reaction to those feelings. It follows that first we must create a feeling, something that moves our physical being and this will produce an emotional response. Here lies the true power of affirmations.

In order to manifest our desires, change our conditions or create a new reality for ourselves we must create an underlying sense of having already accomplished our desire. Many of us have heard or used the phrase “Fake it until you make it.” While this does in some sense hold true, I prefer to think in terms of “Know it as possible and Know it as SO.” Affirmations help us to know the possibilities. I do not believe we need fake anything. Faking it subtly implies the impossibility of something. We are working with a very subtle principle here so the more specific we are the better results we will experience. Knowing IT is possible leads us to feeling hopeful, expectant, accepting of our truth or greater yet to be. This is the real feeling we are after with affirmations, the Greater Yet To Be. We simply know our good is coming to us; there is really no way it could not. The Law of Attraction (LOA) spells all this out clearly we will get whatever we think about. Affirmations are a simple way to initiate the LOA and we must do so with a firm belief that our requests are already manifest in the mind of the Universe. Once we recognize our affirmations as possible in the Universe it is only a short path to recognizing these same affirmations as manifest in and as our body of affairs. Are you with me?

How many times have you heard “thoughts become things” or “what you think about you bring about”? These statements are very true, but can you simply think a thought once or twice and expect to experience a manifestation of that thought? Of course not, if this was true we would all be murders, divorced, or in jail. Our errant and wild thoughts do not become things because we give them very little energy. Our affirmations become reality when we give them energy. Where then does the energy come from? The energy in affirmations is repetition. How many times must a recite an affirmation for it to work? The answer is simple, as many times at it takes. I have always bee a proponent of “praying unceasingly” and this refers to praying until you see or experience the manifestation. Remember as soon as you affirm your truth the Universe begins moving that good into your life, if you give up affirming before you experience the good it is not that the universe failed to bring you your desire, it is that you must remain steadfast in your belief until your life matched the good you have been attracting. Repetition is therefore the key to manifesting our affirmations.

A good affirmation is short and easily to remember. This makes it a simple process to repeat 100 times a day. Try reciting “I am whole and complete with nothing missing in my life.” Now say that ten times. How long did it take? Now try repeating this affirmation ten times at ten different times a day. If it takes 1 or 2 minutes to repeat ten times you will invest ten or twenty minutes a day reciting this affirmation 100 times. It is a simple process to get to one hundred. The fun begins when you realize it need not be a verbal recitation to be effective. What if every time you used a restroom you silent repeated “I am whole and complete with nothing missing in my life”? Soon you will begin to feel this affirmation as the truth of your life. As you build the feeling you begin to believe this truth. As you begin to believe the Universe responds by bringing experiences that prove this as true of your life. As you begin to experience the proof of your affirmation you more easily accept and recognize the experiences of life as more proof of this truth. This self feeding cycle builds and builds until you no longer need remind yourself of your truth. Once you experience the manifestation of your affirmation you are open to moving into a new affirmation. Soon life becomes an amazing experience of Divine Truth operating as you life in every moment.

Will you slip and forget this truth? The obvious answer is yes you will, but you are not required to forget and repeat these reminders. The belief that you may forget your truth is one of those limiting beliefs that I believe no longer serve your Divine Life. Why not try affirming “I let go of any beliefs that no longer serve me and my evolution as a spiritual being.” The possibilities are endless and that’s the good news.

The truth of Affirmations is simply that they do work and they are the truth of your Divine Life if you use them. Many people today tell me they have tried affirmations and they did not work or that they worked for a short time and then they became too simplistic of a process. I ask you to consider if you are really working your affirmations or are you playing lip service to this powerful spiritual practice? The term spiritual practice is just that, a practice. We must continue to use the tools we have and practice them daily in order to master the skill.

I want you to know I recognize you as a Divine Emanation of Spirit, GOD, the Universe and you have the Power to express that Divinity in every moment. I suggest you practice reminding yourself of this truth by using affirmations unceasingly. Enjoy today and remember to affirm your truth until you see the manifestation and you will create the life you truly desire.

The following article is one of a series of articles which focus on Personal Development, Self Improvement, Motivation and Empowerment. It is based on research done over twenty years as a personal and business coach. This self improvement article was written in response to questions which I have been asked as well as address common challenges that people have with this subject and all aspects of personal development.I sincerely hope that you find the following information of value.

The Real Power Of Affirmation

“I am, therefore I exist,” is a phrase affirming one’s existence as a being. It may be a simple phrase, but it says everything about the being saying them. It indicates a confidence not commonly found among other beings.

But why do people need affirmation? Why do beings need to be affirmed? Is existence relative to one’s affirmation?

Affirmation is a very powerful technique to empower one’s subconscious. Once the subconscious is disciplined to believe one’s affirmation, the latter is converted into a positive action for the conscious mind. Through affirmation, beings are empowered to do, to work, and to strive for more things. Affirmation allows people to believe in themselves and to put their thoughts into action.

Affirmation is a combination of verbal and visual techniques of a preferred state of mind of a person. Strong affirmations can be very powerful, and can be used by almost anyone to achieve his goals and fulfill his desires. However, the power of an affirmation depends on how strong or weak an affirmation is.

Affirmation is merely an assertion made by a person, about something or about a state of being. A person can affirm those that he chooses to attain, like “I now have a good life.” Being healthy in mind, body, and spirit can also be made possible through affirmation.

A strong affirmation should be stated in the present tense to be more effective. An affirmation of “I am now a happy being” is more effective than an affirmation saying, “I am going to become a happy being.” Affirmation should always be in positive terms because it is supposed to work for you and not against you. Instead of saying, “I am not sad,” why not make an affirmation saying, “I am happy.”

When it comes to the subject of self improvement, I fully understand (through my own experiences) that it is a lot easier said than done. However, you are here, right now, because you have a desire to improve your self or you are at least interested in this subject. Perhaps you are reading this to help a friend or colleague – great. If this article helps you or your help a friend, paying it forward is what life all about so we all win.

An affirmation should be made up of simple but concise words, and it should be short to be more effective. A very long affirmation can work the other way around, instead of creating a positive mindset for a person. A short affirmation can be easily spoken and repeated by a person. It can serve as a mantra that can be repeated over and over again.

To be effective, an affirmation must be repeated. Repetition works and influences the subconscious, which in turn motivates the person into acting out his affirmation. A person who creates the affirmation should be deeply involved with the words he will be using, so he will be able to actualize his affirmation. Writing words that one believes in can be very powerful, and this can be put to good use when creating an affirmation.

However, creating an affirmation alone and repeating them a million times would not make the affirmation a state of mind. The important thing is to live one’s affirmation and to be open-minded enough to do the things that would help the affirmation become a reality. Feeling the affirmation and applying it in one’s life will help in making the affirmation a reality.

While affirmation is generally used to make an individual better, it can also be used to boost or confirm another person’s value. By affirming another person’s existence, you are helping him improve his self-worth.

Affirmation is a very simple thing that can make a very big difference in a person’s life. It can be a great motivator and can make things happen.

This is an introduction to the first four of Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations, a scripturally based, spiritual approach to prosperity. These affirmations are action oriented and highly effective if you are willing to systematically affirm the following statements or statements of your own crafting that capture their essence.

Prosperity’s 12 Affirmations are 12 powerful affirmations of prosperity and well-being drawn from the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17). The book Prosperity’s 10 Commandments by Georgiana Tree West was the inspiration for the creation of Prosperity’s 10 Affirmations. But at some point, I was moved to add Jesus’ 2 great commandments found in Matthew 22:37-39, thus expanding the affirmations to 12. Why create affirmations for prosperity when we have commandments, admonitions and suggestions in scripture, books and courses by the dozen? I believe that often we hear commandments and wish to obey them, but we may stumble because we don’t have a process to make the commandments part of our thinking, speaking and behavior. One way to internalize the spirit of a commandment is to affirm it in language and action until it becomes an automatic part of our behavior. By affirming Prosperity’s 1st four Affirmations each day, we can begin to make these powerful principles of prosperity a fundamental part of our daily activity.

Prosperity’s 1st Four Affirmations

I look to God as my only Source of wealth. Prosperity’s 1st Affirmation is foundational. A prosperous life is based on the idea that all that we need or want material and non-material, visible and invisible; comes from God, the Creator of all that is.

I create prosperity, abundance and wealth images. As human beings we are wired to create mental “images”. An image is a mental representation of anything not actually present in the senses (Webster). Everything we create is first created as a mental image before it is formed in manifest three dimensional forms.

I only speak words that affirm sufficiency, abundance and prosperity. There is power in every word we speak. Therefore, our intention is to speak the most beneficial words which come to mind. When our words are born of the Truth of Spirit they are creative.

I surrender the details of my wealth creation to God. Rest and surrender are key ideas in living this affirmation. We want to release our need to be in constant activity as well as to let go of every thought, habit and circumstance that inhibits our experience of prosperity. More importantly, we let go of our finite activity and allow God’s infinite activity to complete the creation process.

The essence of these four affirmations concerns our relationship with God, just as the focus of the the first four Commandments is with our relationship with God, making these statements ideal for beginning a prospering relationship with the Propsering Power of the Universe, God.

Creating powerful affirmations is a technique that is coveted, as once you master this process–you can literally manifest what you strongly desire fast, easily and with a whole lot of fun! The quality of your life improves dramatically–almost overnight! Creating powerful affirmations is technique that is interwoven with the Deliberate Creation process and it is recommended when you are describing and writing your life goals.

How to create powerful affirmations is a question many have asked, few have mastered.

Affirmations are deliberately and concisely constructed statements which, when properly understood, accepted and practiced can transform your health and your future. Often times, these affirmations are silent, unspoken, but rather thoughts generated from our minds. Some people would call them prayers. Positive affirmations are those that are focused on positive things, deliberate thoughts that bring one feelings of love, passion, enlightenment, faith and hope. To read about the 10 steps on how to create powerful affirmations keep reading below.

1)The first step in how to create powerful affirmations is belief–believing what you want is already hear, and that it is yours–now! Undeniable.

Affirmations are nothing more than a string of words, however, which will not make a difference unless you know how to use them for maximum effectiveness. When you give you positive affirmations power and energy, they take off, go out into the universe and attract back to you all the health that you desire. You must give them power and energy in order to get your results. You must believe them to be true.

2) One of the most important techniques in how to create powerful affirmations is repetition!

3) When you want to master the process of how to create powerful affirmations make sure you fill your affirmative thoughts with positive emotions.

4) Mastery of the process of how to create powerful affirmations usually requires that we examine and change your current thought paradigms. This can be a painful process for some, a step in self discovery for others. But replacing old, disruptive thought patterns and belief systems is critical to evolving and changing life circumstances.

5) In order to master the process of how to create powerful affirmations you should always attach gratitude to your message. It is suggested that you begin each positive affirmation as “Yes! I am so happy and grateful now that…” For example, “Yes! I am so happy and grateful now that I can run five miles three times a week.”

6) In the process of how to create powerful affirmations remember to always affirm big!!! If your goals do not scare you just a little bit, than you have not set the bar high enough…make big goals, dream big dreams and believe it is all for you!

7) In this next step in the 10 step process of how to create powerful affirmations you want to map out your goals. Make a plan. Have you ever tried to go on a road trip or vacation without a plan? No. This is no different, make a plan, plot out your course. It is much easier to attain a goal if you have it visualized and you can plot your progess and see if you get off course.

8)Want to manifest quickly? The next step in how to create powerful affirmations is to visualize it. Practice creative visualization techniques; this helps you to see your goals and desires clearly in your mind. This process is one of the most powerful techniques you can use to manifest quickly. This process of creative visualization is very effective, as it will activate brain cells that will now remember this mental image that you are holding, and therefore as the universal conscious or Spirit thought moves through you, it will create that image that you are seeing in your mind.

9) The 9th step in how to create powerful affirmations is to expect your affirmations to come true! One of my favorite quotes about creating success is by Napoleon Hill; he states, “No one is ready to receive a thing, until they believe that they can acquire it.” Wow, does that not say it all? If you do not believe that you can have something and even more, expect it!!! then you will never succeed. You must believe and expect it, period. If you do not yet truly expect it, then you will not be able to attract what you need in order to bring it into form.

10) Ultimately, nothing is going to happen in the how to create powerful affirmations process until you TAKE ACTION!

The phrase which affirms one’s existence as a being is, “I am, therefore I exist”. This phrase looks simple but it clearly expresses all the things about the being by saying them. This phrase shows the confidence which is not usually found amongst the rest of the beings.
